TB094 Rev1 Yuasa Rotary Table Mis seated Encoders
Overview
The purpose of this document is to give a description for reseating the Renco encoder supplied on the Yuasa
Rotary Tables Yuasa is incorrectly seating the encoder on the rotary table motors which is causing runaways
on the rotary axis along with position errors and the inability for the control to find the home position
Repair Procedure
1 Remove the six socket head cap screws that hold the motor / air connection cover Remove the cover
2 Remove the cover from the Renco encoder
3 Pull the tab on the encoder out into position 1" x 1/4"
4 Loosen the two screws on face of the encoder and the one setscrew locating the encoder onto shaft
5 With the tab pulled out position the encoder against the motor back plate
6 Tighten the encoder on the shaft and the two screws on the face
7 Push the tab back into position
8 Replace the encoder cover
9 Replace the motor / air connection cover; make sure this is properly sealed with RTV so that coolant
cannot get into the motor
10 Run the machine and verify the rotary axis operates correctly
