TB218 Rev4 Uni console Component Changes
Purpose
This document outlines when major component changes have taken place in the Centroid Uniconsole 2
console on CNC10 and CNC11 systems from April 2004 to the present One can be better prepared
before traveling on site to troubleshoot a system
LCD Monitor Changes
Note Changes in LCD manufacturers results in internal sheet metal changes in order to accommodate
the mounting of the new LCD screen which also affec ts the rest of the internal sheet metal in the console

Console Configuration Notes and Changes

FC readers were mounted under the MB on all ISA MB
PC setups PCI MB had the FC reader move to a card slot above the MB
Original Uniconsoles w/ angled back required the PC
to have the ATXPWR card to power the LCD
screen
All ISA motherboards mounted in a console used the right angle adapter board to interface with the
CPU7 motion card
9/21/2005 With the release of v1 27 software started putting the USB I/O panel on the consoles and removed
the floppy drive
12/22/2005 CPU10B's released which require software version v1 51 or higher to run
3/2007 Console jog panel cables changed from single cable
to the two ribbon cable setup with the DB15
connectors
2/17/2010 Mounted the MicroATX PS to the console wrap Remove d the MB cover plates
6/7/2012 Ethernet chipset incompatible with Linux Installed additional PCI Express NIC board
CNC11 Systems
Installed SSD and LCD controller board onto sheet m etal above the MB Removed the MB wrap
