Purpose
This document was created in light the current issues with file system corruption on Linux flashcards We will
cover how to restore a flashcard with file system corruption or at the very least retrieve your configuration and
program files
Typical error message "UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY RUN fsck MANUALLY "
"Filesystem errors still exist! Manual Intervention required "
Running fsck manually
1 Type fsck y /dev/hda1 Note This may or may not work
2 Next check for files in the lost and found Type ls /lost+found
If any files exist skip to recovering files Otherwise type poweroff
3 When system comes up make a backup of programs and a report
Recovering files
1 Type cp /cncroot/c/cnc10/* /cncroot/a ; This will copy everything in the CNC10 directory
2 Type cp /cncroot/c/cnc10/ncfiles/* /cncroot/a ; This will copy all the G code files to a drive USB or floppy
3 Type cp /cncroot/c/intercon/* icn /cncroot/a ; This will copy all the intercon files to a drive USB or floppy
Special Note
Whether you recover your system or not We recommend that get a new flash card if you get a
