On site Customer Service: CENTROID CNC Independent Field Service Representative work with high-tech PC-based Electronic Motion Controls on CNC milling machines, lathes, routers, and other industrial equipment. Travel to customers site and repair and upgrade CNC control equiipment. Territories are nationwide.

This position requires a "Jack of all Trades" with a mix of technical skills and people skills. Being a Tech Rep involves primarily field service, troubleshooting, and customer trainings. But, it's not all troubleshooting, you will also be performing equipment demonstrations at trade shows and local dealer open houses, and the sale of software upgrades and accessories to existing customers when you have them up and running and happy again. You must enjoy working with people to help them learn and solve their technical problems both on-site and with phone support.

During and after your service calls, showing off Centroid's latest features and the ability to learn the sales and marketing aspects of the job will also be important for further increased earnings. You will help support the local sales person by demonstrating the controls to customers when needed. Travel several days per week will be the rule; you will be home weekends.

Candidate will be fully trained at the factory . A solid foundation in basic electronics, PC skills (operation and repairing), basic mechanical skills, basic drafting (CAD a plus), and good written and verbal communication skills will get you off to a good start. Experience working with CNC equipment from a maintenance or retrofitting perspective is a big plus, otherwise, the successful candidate must have either tech school or military electronics background plus personal computer experience. College acceptable, but not necessary. For the entry level candidate knowledge of milling machines, lathes and routers a bonus, but not necessary.
